Anne Kleehammer’s inspiration for her book Ten Secrets of Overcomers came from real-life stories of people who overcame major obstacles in their lives. She read biographies, magazine, newspaper, and online sites and heard interviews on TV, radio and the internet. Overcoming stories became her passion! She wanted to uncover the secrets that helped these people and extract what she and others could learn from them.
She began asking for interviews from outstanding overcomers. With each interview she caught a glimpse of a unique personality who grabbed hold of certain qualities to triumph in their circumstances. What she discovered helped her gain a better perspective on her own challenges. Now she feels that these stories need to be told to help others overcome adversity. Anne had opportunities to speak to small audiences as she was writing her book and found they were just as inspired by these life stories as she was.
In her own life, Anne has overcome the death of loved ones, the loss of a job, victimization by crime, weight gain, and many moves and transitions as the wife of a US Navy SEAL. She is in the process of overcoming several autoimmune disorders. She hopes to encourage and motivate others by sharing the secrets of being an overcomer!
